St. John's Wort has several medicinal benefits. Most well known for its ability to boost mood, may help with depression, decreases nervousness, has effects that promote a calm nervous system, helps ease feelings of anxiety, tension, irritability, stress, joint and muscle pain, arthritis, inflammation, nerve pain, nightmares, and insomnia. It also helps clear the liver of toxins.

 

May be used internally or externally rubbed on the skin. Take 30-90 drops, up to 3 times per day as needed for relief. This is about a full dropper, but start small and increase dosage as needed. May also be mixed in tea, glass of water, or juice. Or taken in a veggie capsule if you don't prefer the taste of tinctures. *This herb has many interactions with antidepressants, so always speak with a doctor or licensed herbalistprior to use if on any medication.*
